Who’s Behind AtTerracePlace
AtTerracePlace is owned and written by Daniel Mercer, whose interest in home improvement started while helping his father restore and maintain a 1970s family home. That early hands-on experience grew into more than 10 years of personal renovation work — painting, flooring, drywall, kitchen and bathroom updates, deck maintenance, landscaping, and seasonal maintenance — alongside 6+ years as a professional residential renovation and home improvement writer. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Purdue University and personally oversees the editorial direction of the site.
